Note #2: I didn't reference Christmas in this story since Gokusen is based in Japan. While the Japanese does celebrate Christmas, it does not have the same significance as it does in the majority of Western countries. New Years, or O-shogatsu, in comparison, is a national holiday, one rich in traditions and is very important to the Japanese people.
